Becky has spent most of her working life building coalitions: business, social, educational, religious and community. This is also the key focus of her work at 1% For The Planet, where she is working to form a community of individuals and foundations whose philanthropic goals include a commitment to the environment. These partners will have an immediate and direct impact on our ability to define 1% FTP as the reference brand for commitment to the environment and will generate a significant amount of additional funding and support for environmental work.
For fifteen years as a small business owner, Becky managed professional associations and was responsible for transitioning these organizations from grassroots affiliations to nationally recognized membership chapters. In her corporate days in the aerospace industry, she worked as a financial analyst and strategic planner evaluating which technologies to develop and which to spin off into incubator businesses. In her home community, Becky created vital alternative educational networks for K-12 and is a member of the newly formed Ojai Valley Green Coalition, an association of business and community leaders who are actively creating an environmentally sustainable community in Ojai, California. Becky holds a BS in Business and an MBA, both from Loyola Marymount University.
